Does 90 mm mean guaranteed door-to-wall clearance?

90 mm / 3.54 in is the KT-MS01 post height or wall-mount standoff. It is not a verified installed door-to-wall gap. Floor mounting requires a separate position check.

For ANSI/BHMA A156.2 Grade 1 or Grade 2 leversets, send the specific model and lever projection to our Engineering & Spec Desk. The lock grade alone does not establish clearance or compatibility.

Does the magnetic holding force establish ADA compliance?

No. Supplied KT-MS01 literature cites 5–8 lbf (approximately 22–36 N) of magnetic holding force; the test method and installed release force have not been verified. This figure is not an ADA compliance rating.

Magnetic holding force and door operating force are different measurements. Review release, opening force and hardware operation on the complete assembly under the applicable U.S. or Canadian requirements.

KH focuses on four architectural magnetic door holder profiles, with Type 304 stainless steel bodies and model-specific construction. Refer to each model's submittal for materials, dimensions and mounting details.

KT-MS01 / Installation overview

Installation, step by step.

A spring-loaded catch on the back face of the door. A concealed post base on the floor or wall.

A / Door-mounted catch

2x #8 Type 304 SS screws included

  1. Exploded view of the KT-MS01 catch housing, compression spring and two-hole threaded backplate.
    Open the catch

    Unthread the rear backplate. Keep the spring and internal parts in their original order.

  2. Two supplied Type 304 stainless steel screws fastening the catch backplate to the broad back face of the door.
    Fix the door backplate

    Locate on the broad back face of the door. Mark, pilot and secure with the 2 supplied #8 Type 304 stainless steel screws.

  3. Catch housing and highlighted internal stainless steel cushioning spring aligned with the backplate fastened to the door.
    Reassemble the catch

    Return the spring and internal parts. Thread the housing back onto the fixed backplate.

B / Floor or wall post base

3-point fixing / center anchor option

  1. Sculpted KT-MS01 post separated from its concealed base plate beside a three-point pattern with a center anchor opening.
    Release and mark the base

    Separate the concealed base plate. Mark the selected floor or wall position using T-MS01.

  2. Alternative fixing arrangements: three perimeter base screws or the center M6 expansion anchor.
    Secure the concealed base

    Use 3-point screw fixing or the center expansion anchor, as specified for the substrate.

    5 screws supplied: 3 for the post base + 2 for the door catch.

  3. Finished KT-MS01 floor and wall mounting arrangements with the catch on the back face of the door.
    Refit, align and check

    Refit the sculpted post. Check catch alignment, handle clearance and smooth manual release.
